Even people in their twenties want to know how they can plan to retire early but with the economic states of numerous countries, it is hard to determine is that is a real possibility or not. Sure, you may be able to actually retire at an early age but will the money you be bringing in monthly be enough to cover all of your expenses? Knowing how much money you need each month will really help you out in determining when you can actually retire. I can see why quite a few people get overwhelmed when they research how they can retire early because it may require you to have quite a bit of money. If you really want to know how to retire early one of the best places to start is looking at your own income.
If you have noticed that the income you currently make will not provide enough retirement money to support you then you may need to come up with a Plan B. For those of you who are young enough, you may want to consider doing another job somewhere else in order to make the amount of money in retirement that you will need. (more…)
For weeks I had to sit and watch reports on Washington officials in the United States try to come up with a plan to get them out of trouble. I have read online that quite a few people believe the problem started back in 90’s when government officials began to repay debt at a really fast rate which made others nervous. Having too small of a government debt is almost just as risky as having too much debt. However, even though the US debt crisis could be seen from a mile away the US government still took their sweet time trying to come up with a solution.
The real issue is that the Democrats and Republicans just did not want to play fair so to speak. If both parties would have been willing to split the differences in the taxes and cuts the issue could have been handles quickly and without starting huge US debt crisis that could crutch the US for a long time. To avoid any long term issues, the seats were supposed to come up with a way to seal the debt limit by August 2nd and it wasn’t until the wee hours of the morning that day when something was actually decided. Even with this agreement reached, for now, American’s and officials are worried that it will only cause larger debt further down the road and higher taxes on those who cannot afford them.
Unfortunately countries all over the world are watching as the United States teeter totters on its Triple A credit rating. Some officials have even suggested that this damage is so severe it could turn the US down the same path as Argentina who went from the world’s richest country to just middle class. What I see the US facing now is almost a struggle between the older “baby boomers” and the younger generation in terms of benefits and long term payments (i.e. Social Security). Needless to say that even with the attempts to bring the economical future of the US back up it seems that the US debt crisis is not over and has done far more damage that I expected it to. (more…)

While Florida and Arizona used to be the best cities to retire in now days there is a list of some different kinds of places! Apparently the cliché Florida retiree bit just doesn’t fit the mold for everyone out there. This is mostly in part to new retiree ages and they are of a whole different generation than the baby boomers were. The new generation of retirees seems to be attracted to different things and these cities have made the list for being the best to retire in, and here is why.
1. Austin, Texas: The amount of people ages 55-64 have increased by 110 percent in Austin just in the past 10 years and it expected to go higher than that. Austin Universities and city colleges have started offering classes that allow people to continue their education and this is one of the reasons it has become one of the best cities to retire in.
2. Atlanta, Georgia: Thanks to the diversity and low cost of living in Atlanta more and more retirees are choosing the Peaches State to live out the retired part of their lives. In the suburbs of Atlanta you can really find low costs of living but plenty to do as far as keeping yourself busy.
3. Portland, Oregon: With so many parks, trails and activities for retirees to participate in no wonder Portland is one of the top cities for people to retire in.
4. Boston, Mass: Whether it is the history or the beauty, Boston has definitely increased the number of retirees and potential retirees in the past few years.
5. Milwaukee, Wisconsin: If you can stand the super frigid winters with snow this beauty of a city may appeal to you. While it is a bit too cold for me it seems more and more people are choosing the beautiful but cold scenery to retire to.
6. Sante Fe, New Mexico: Warm weather, breath taking views and very rich history are just a few of the things that make Sante Fe one of the best cities to retire in. (more…)

If you are looking for a little side income or a new way to make a living, starting up your own business could be a great venture. However, unless you already have a hobby or venture in mind, you may need some help coming up with business ideas for women to pursue.
One very popular way to start up your company is considering opening up an in home day care and preschool facility. You simply just need to be approved by your state (which I found isn’t too hard) and then get some parents to be your first clients. If kids are not really your thing I have quite a few women friends who make different arts, crafts and jewelry to be sold. Anything that can be handmade usually attracts people and can be a great way to at least have a small side income.
For the collectors and garage sale stoppers you may find that getting involved in antiques may be one of the best business ideas for women you should try out. Some women already have quite a collection of different antiques and collectibles so starting up isn’t as expensive or hard as other ventures may be for them. In all honesty, I have found you can pretty much make a career out of anything as long as there is a market for it and people will buy it. I have seen some pretty strange, weird, cool, unique and even creepy things make some of my friends quite a bit of money simply because there was a demand for it. (more…)
Thanks to scholarships for minorities being available more and more kids and continuing their education in order to get ahead in life. Minorities such as Hispanics, African Americans and Native American (but not so much Asian, why is that?) often have more scholarship opportunities because of the external companies that sympathize with the struggle of being a minority. Since I am a minority myself I understand how important it is to find a way to further your education.
I have found out that there are even quite a few Universities and Community Colleges that offer scholarships for minorities in order to get more students to enroll. It is almost impossible to not encounter another race in your area and when you are allowed to get the same education as others then you are just as qualified for the better paying jobs.
There are so many different kinds and amounts of scholarships out there for minorities so I always say that it is best to shop around first. Pick out which scholarships meet the criteria you are looking for as well as you meeting the criteria the scholarship is looking for. The available scholarships to you will really depend on where you want to further your education and in what career field as too. There are millions of dollars handed out each year to minorities by these scholarships in order for them to further their education to get a career. With all of that money being handed out don’t you think you should take advantage? I know I would! (more…)
