So what exactly is the Best MLM Opportunity?
A MLM Opportunity is a network marketing company where products and/or services are rendered through the work of commission based representatives in a tiered paid structure. Reps in the business are compensated for their own sales and also the sales of those they train in their own mlm downline. The benefit of this business model is that anyone can come in and generate a very healthy income just by making some direct sales and managing a team of other reps who make sales. Since this is strictly a commissioned based industry, only those who can make sales and teach others in their mlm downline to do the same will stay profitable in this type of business.
Don't get a MLM Opportunity confused with a J.O.B
A J.O.B is trading time for money where a MLM Opportunity is leveraging your time and a portion of your mlm downline's time to generate sales volume. This type of leverage allows more freedom in life as you will still be making money when your not actively working.
It's the theory of why 100% of your time isn't as effective as 1% of 100 people.
So what is the Best of the Best? Which MLM Opportunity do I really believe is the best?
BEST MLM Opportunity criteria I wanted to touch on
- How much competition is out there?
– It's competition from competing companies in the same market place – EX: Juice has a ton of competing companies. Are you going to be able to cut through the clutter and really show why your juice is better?
– It's competition from within the company – EX: How many reps are there in the company? These reps could potentially steal your ideal prospects if you’re not working fast enough. Rep saturation is a problem especially offline if everyone in your town has been exposed to your mlm opportunity already (EX: Amway)
-Your leadership team BETTER be moving.. and shaking because with competition there is HUGE growth potential.
- How easy is it to sell?
Many reps in the industry fall into the trap set by their upline that this is not selling but sharing. I'm sorry, that is a load of crap.
If you are in a mlm opportunity or looking to join one you are only there as a paid commissioned rep to move volume. That's it. Plain and simple. Sure you can sugar coat it that you’re “sharing” the mlm opportunity, but in the end you need to move volume. Volume only comes when you are aggressive in marketing your mlm opportunities and products/services.
So this leads us to “How easy is it to sell” your Best MLM Opportunity and Products?
Let's say you have found a juice that helped your diabetes. So you feel if this juice is the real deal you wanted to go ahead and make a living out of it. If you were aggressive in your approach and were able to get in front of a target audience of other diabetics then this product would sell.
Key is being able to build a viral network of promoters AND customers.
If you understand the mind.. some people will NEVER want to make money from friends and family but many, many will want to SAVE money….
Make sure that your customers have a benefit to pushing your business forward.
- Are you trying to move a Traditional MLM Opportunity Online?
I teach many reps in different mlm opportunities on how to build their business with online marketing strategies. This ranges from teaching video marketing to more advanced pay per click skills. In a perfect world every single company can make it online but…
Every Single MLM Opportunity is DIFFERENT!
If they were not different then we could just close our eyes and just pick one out of a hat.
But this is not the case.
The reason we picked or looking to join a network marketing company is because we feel it has the best chance of making us money. But sometimes we forget some simple principles.
Conversions online and offline will always be dependent on the company and products being sold.
EX: A company dealing with Juice that is trying to market online. Juice has a need to get the customers to “try” the product with home parties and tasting parties. How can you do this online? Explosive growth online is dependent on being able to “sell” to your audience. If your product needs to be experienced first hand, the delay of products sold and new reps sponsored will be dependent on when they can get the product in hand for the most part. So if you’re with a juice company and not doing home parties the best way for you to build that company is to let the product sell itself which means sending out product to customers or directing your potential customers to tasting parties close to them. This built in delay could be the difference from someone staying in the business or leaving.
If your company heavily teaches home parties and you want to skip all of that by jumping online, you are going against what made the company large in the first place. Personal touch and first hand experience.
There is a reason why uplines want you to do home parties. If you skip this step and jump straight online your conversions will suffer. So even though network marketing is a numbers game instead of signing up 10% of the reps you come in contact with you might only sponsor 0.50%. That is a huge difference in commissions.
This is not to say you can't build a business online that is heavy into home parties but you’re missing the whole point of making money.
Make sure you use leverage to do either and to do it with SPEED.
Best MLM Opportunity To Make YOU Money
Wouldn't it just make sense if you’re trying to build a business from home to build a MLM opportunity that was built for the internet? One where you don't have to have someone consume product or try it first hand?
This is the ONLY MLM Opportunity that I found that can do that, but I'll touch on it more later.
Most reps have a 30-90 day window. If they are not making money the first thing they will do is look at what it is costing them to stay in business. If they come to the notion it is cheaper to just be a customer versus a paying distributor, guess what they will do next?
Yep – Cancel their Autoship
Make sure you can get your reps and customers FREE products. Period.
- Retention Rates Per Company Are Different
Autoship is the monthly dues for your distributors in your mlm downline. For the most part, this is where your residual lies. If your have 100 people in your downline you better hope they are either making sales per month or on autoship. This is why every company recommends having your reps on autoship to qualify for commissions. If they are making sales they need to be on autoship to qualify for any commissions that are due.
This is the sticky area.
In 60 to 90 days if your downline realizes it’s costing them more money to be IN the business than just being a customer they will stop doing the business. See you have a small window to teach them how to close new reps and make more sales. If they don’t the monthly autoship will eat their lunch.
Ex: I was with a juice company with the auto ship and tax plus shipping and handling came out to around $145 per month. The autoship was built in to have left over bottles of juice for tasting parties. I wasn’t doing tasting parties and so were many of the people in my team.
There was a 60-90 day window for my team to figure out if they could make money and break even with this mlm opportunity. How long really depends on the person but if they realize they can not sponsor enough or make enough sales to cover the autoship the only 2 options left are to cut the autoship and be a customer at a ¼ of the cost or just cancel altogether.
See most get into the business for the mlm opportunity. If the mlm opportunity isn’t lucrative then their will be a decision if the product really is worth buying. If so autoships normally are 4x the amount necessary. So make sure your not in a situation where people leave due to price.. you need results and free products asap to your teams.
Shoot, you can even buy as a customer from a bulk distributor and save even more money. See this is the bigger issue. Uplines who are buying in bulk will always undersell you so the product you have extra will not be easily moved online.
So you have to decide if your in the best MLM Opportunity or looking at what are the chances your team and yourself will cut your autoship? If you and your team don’t sponsor a soul and make any sales how long will it be before you cut the monthly autoship?
That really depends on if you wanted the product or service in the first place. If you were going to buy it in the first place at that monthly amount then being a distributor just makes sense because normally as a rep you will get a discount anyways. I looked long a hard trying to decide which had the best chance of retaining a team and if my team didn’t make any sales or sponsor anyone would they stay with the company?
I found my Best MLM Opportunity
1) Find a “movement”. A company that is moving means the TEAMS within are moving ==== a system that is duplicating
2) Having team members AND customers build your business…. What if you could wake up one day and have over 100 customers in a day? yeah, it's possible.
3) Stick to the behavior of buying. Why do people buy. If your company understand this… then it's going to be easy to move whatever your selling.
This is why I have decided to plant my flag here and my my first million online part time.
Engineering Your Success,
Lawrence Tam

Hmm it looks like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any suggestions for first-time blog writers? I’d definitely appreciate it.

Hi- I hope you dont mind. Im a heavy writer.I also wanted to talk to you about DNA (data network affiliates).
It just went global. I know the prices paid are low, but it is free.
When I visited Nigeria I asked some people who worked from 6AM-10PM everyday how much they earned. In US dollars it came to $1 per day. My goal with DNA is to partner with some people who can see the same vision as me. An internet cafe who can allow a bunch of people to put their data in online for $2 a month for an hour or so of work. Urge them to recruit people and set them up with their own computer and internet (for people who have a place that could support that). And get them to start their own DNA business, they can put hundreds of people under them and when their computer doesnt have time to take more people they can get another computer or they can urge the people under them to get a computer and branch off. Whatever the case, there are so many countries out there where it is an answered prayer to work 1 hour for $2, they will get everyone in their family to do the same if they can access the internet. This means there will be a steady bottom line of people who will continue to happily complete the work for $2.
This is my vision. I wouldnt mind paying some money to start something, but the fact that it is free, means it is free for everyone under you to join as well. I have people join all the time that I never spoke to about it, but they just clicked the link and joined. But my strategy is targeting the right people. Like you said, it would take a lot of people to replace your income. But there is no risk and it only takes a couple of hours to do it…. that includes some networking as well. I never earned $2, I was already at $20 my first month, and then it just keeps going up from there.
Take Care.

Great information. Looks legit and seems to have a lot going for it. I will need to look deeper into it like why a 10 yr company only has 10,000 affiliates. Many startups hit that within 6 months. That is a pro and a con.
But the customer base is solid. With any business make sure you can take the product cause if so you will extend the life of your business 10 fold.
Rainincome · September 29, 2010 at 5:11 am
Hi Lawrence,We just joined a new company and have signed up 26 people in 3 weeks and those 26 people have already duplicated themselves in the same 3 weeks. I think we are on to something. It is a revolutionary patented compensation plan that has people jumping in at $40 for product a month. Check out xxxx for more details about the product. e-mail me from that website and I will send you more info. on the compensation plan. It’s the “perfect storm”!

MLMPRO · April 24, 2010 at 4:23 pm
Hi,
I just checked out your video. I will have to research it some and get back to you.
Trivita is a ten year old health and wellness company. They have over 2 million customers and less than 10,000 affiliates. That is over 200 customers per affiliate. The affiliate program was not marketed before and it hasn't really been exposed because most affiliates are retirees or people dealing with pain that use the products… and the company offered a way to share costs with affiliates (sort of like making a company public). The company spends money on informercials and other advertising and then splits then sells the customers to the affiliates. You dont have to call them or anything, anything they buy you receive a residual income from.
They have been pushing for more affiliates because their customer base is getting bigger than their affiliates can handle. So now, if you bring on two affiliates, they give you 4 customers who are on autoship – you can call and turn them into affiliates (bc they are already on autoship) and be given 4 more!! Because every affiliate and customer needs to be under someone and so many are joining straight to the company.
The new product Nopalea has no competition either. It is the first time the Nopia fruit is absorbed into the body, it is all natural no-side affects. It just came on the market 1 year ago. Doctor offices across the nation want this product, especially chiropracter. This product does stuff that no other product or prescription can do. It can help exzema, asthma: can you imagine how many parent would rather give their child juice instead of steriods?… and the Doctors are referring them to Nopalea! It has scientific back up to help with anything caused by inflammation: arthritis, psorisis, gengivitis, depression, obesity, breastfeeding, it is all possible. I meet so many customers that want to know how to become affiliates, because it is not in their face. Because up until now the customers were kept COMPLETLEYseperate from the affiliates.
There use to be a high cost to becoming an affiliate, but because the company needs more affiliates, you become an affiliate simply by putting 1 bottle of Nopalea on autoship, $49.99 with shipping. You can ship your bottle back empty within 60 days for a full refund. The ROI is so great that your upline buys customers for you, there is a slightly higher commission for tiers 2-7 than tier 1, so it is better to place affiliates in your downline.
Nopalea did some awesome things for my body within the first few days, but as I continue taking it I just keep realizing that oh, that is how I am suppose to feel. Time magazine and all the research that the Doctors are going by now is that inflammation is what ultimately causes cancer, altheimers, and other chronic diseases that take over. Sometimes we are dealing with inflammation in our body and not feeling the pain. I have not met one doctor thus far that is not interested in this product.
You can choose to sell or buy, or you can give the product away at a discounted price: 1 out of 5 people who try it become members for LIFE. Trivita is increasing at a FAST pace, every month they are earning more than the month before. Outside the frontline product, Trivita had the nerve formula which actually heals and replinishes nerves, which before this when nerves were damaged there was no going back. They have the coral calcium, and a bunch of other products that are really healthy. I have people who decided to get off of health insurance and put their money towards Trivita products. That might sound crazy, but putting preventive an protective products in their body so they can stay healthy makes more sense than putting all their money in a pot so a doctor can try to save their life once their bodies have hit rock bottom.
Anyhow, I would love if you reviewed Trivita I challenge you to look for one bad thing about it online. If you decide to join, I put my everything into my affiliates' success. The guy above me is a pastor, he wris blogs and gets several thousand views daily and he will advertise on your behalf, as he does mine.
Take Care and God Bless,(products)

I like the tree oil stuff with Melaleuca. My mom actually uses them. Don't know much about Trivita but I should do a review with it soon. DNA is hot just like Narc but I fear it's not a primary business as it takes a LOT of people. But for those on a tight budget it's a good alternative to build until you get to a higher paying compensation plan.
I am with the only network marketing company where the product is money. Our autoship is Gold/Silver

Which businesses are you involved in?
I work with Trivita, Melaleuca and DataNetworkAffiliates (which is like Narc that Car but 100% free and % global)
I suggest anyone who is in Narc that car should join DNA, as they make the pitch for Narc and they dont want to pay anything… this is a free alternative.. it pays a little less, but people join like hotcakes. The company is also putting out $10 cell phone unlimited plan…. which affiliates can reap the benefits.

business can take time to build. Getting behind one where you wouldn't mind just being a member or customer with discounts is essential. Businesses are not built over night. Get behind the product/service
also, remember your in business to make money. Make sure the business your with is:
1) legit
2) has demand
3) is sustainable
4) has a compensation that works
I've seen so many that just make me laugh but whatever floats your boat and puts money in your pocket.
Just remember businesses are different and that means online conversions will be different. I was in a company that i was converting 1% of my leads with a retention of 15% of those I sponsored.
Remember the goal, to make money efficiently.
MLMPRO · April 24, 2010 at 8:24 am
As far as the product costing more than what you are earning… That is why you should be paying for a product you would want to buy anyway. Even if it takes months to get to the point that your product is free, that means you are now not paying for something you would have paid for otherwise and has value to you.
I do three businesses. One where I buy green groceries for solid prices and $100 of free groceries to start off with… I only have to spend about $50 per month. I need to buy these products anyway. And so do other people. I do the same thing with a solid health and wellness organization, which i sell Trivita and Nopalea. Their products are so great that I want to do well so I can buy more products.
And then I also do data network affiliates, which is 100% free to join and earn collecting and inputting data. But it is also 100% global and you earn from everyone in your downline without ever paying anything.. a great option for a lot of people.

My article above touches on a lot of the different aspects of what to look for. I am part of a company that doesn't do consumables. Not saying they don't work but you MUST be a true believer of the product and everyone else in your team.
for the most part many join a business and the product is secondary. If it's a consumable you better make sure your eating/drinking/wearing it and the same goes for your team.
Everyone i know would want more gold/silver and that is why I chose Numis

Lawrence Tam · April 12, 2010 at 7:59 am
yes you need to be passionate about what you do but here is the reality.
You ever hear of the term “starving artist”? See, in my opinion many businesses can only be built through traditional means of offline parties and what not. These companies will attempt to go online and generally fail due to poor conversions.
I can teach you how to generate more traffic and use things like facebook and youtube but in the end you are still selling a product you are passionate about but only converting 1% of your sales.
so you too will be a starving artist unless for whatever reason you can break through but it's going to be an uphill climb. Network marketing is not a sales job where you live off of what YOU do. You must look at it from a business perspective and if it can be done by the masses. You will make more money from other people's sales than your own.
How many starving artists can you train?

Great information!!! My problem is the following. I know that having a j.o.b. is not the way to go; or at least, not for me. I really want to start my own business and have really found that an MLM is the best way to go. I was recently with one, mentioned in the above info, but left because I was not passionate about the products. Did not even use them myself. I really want to have a passion for what I do and the business I get involved with. I Recently started with another company because I am totally passionate about their products and the values. However, I of course want to make money also, and lots of it. I am new to blogging, facebook, and all other forms of internet networking and am really interested in learning more and applying it to my business, as this is the main way that I want to work it. It seems to be taking a long time though! My question however is, how does one find a business that you feel good in doing, but also make a good amount of money? Of course I want to make money, but am not the type of person to do anything JUST for money? What can you suggest?

it is good way of comparison Lawrence. Like that. I hv tried with traditional mlm biz like Amway and other Nutrition products for 2 years. It doesnt work for me bcoz i m not really a talker. Therefore i thought of trying to go online mlm marketing/network marketing. Perhaps do an online biz.

I have spent so much money on online home based businesses, over $150 a month just like your juice thing. But I did Chocolates, beauty products etc., . I think I finally came to the one that did it for me, so far I actually made more than I put out a month, and only after 3 weeks and every month the checks get bigger. But they would be bigger if I personally sponsored more people but am not finding a way free way to get people on my own I have been relying on my upline.
Are there really any Free ways to get people? There always seems to be a fee ? Looking for some help on free advertising.
Anything will be helpful , Thanks
